I discovered the sea by chance, but this happy accident quickly became both my home and my profession. For years my sailboat has been my studio, a place where sound, navigation and daily life converge. As a trumpet player and sound artist, I work with field recordings, electronics and live performance; as a skipper, I navigate, maintain and share life on board. Onde Sonore was born from this overlap: an artistic research shaped by long passages, night watches, teamwork and the discipline required at sea. My work explores how collective experience, attention and listening are transformed by the marine environment.
J’ai découvert la mer par hasard, mais ce heureux accident est rapidement devenu à la fois mon lieu de vie et mon métier. Pendant des années, mon voilier a été mon studio, un espace où le son, la navigation et le quotidien se rejoignent. Trompettiste et artiste sonore, je travaille avec le field recording, l’électronique et la performance live ; skipper, je navigue, j’entretiens les bateaux et je partage la vie à bord. Onde Sonore est né de ce croisement : une recherche artistique façonnée par les longues traversées, les quarts de nuit, le travail d’équipe et la rigueur imposée par la mer. Mon travail interroge la manière dont l’environnement marin transforme l’écoute, l’attention et l’expérience collective.

Onde Sonore Exhibition & Performance
In Milan, I showcased my Onde Sonore project, merging field recordings from the sea with live sound performances. This multimedia exhibition explored the relationship between sound and the marine environment, creating an immersive experience for the audience.

Onde Sonore Exhibition
Interactive media path and sound sculptures allowing visitors to engage with natural soundscapes captured at sea. The sculptures translated the movement of the sea into a physical and auditory experience.

Aquatic Theater
Sensory-rich theatrical act where the journey of a sailboat is told through sound, analog objects, and a wooden scenography that mimics the creaks and echoes of a vessel at sea. As I interact with an actor, the resonating set and navigation sounds merge with the narrative, creating an immersive experience of exploration and discovery.
